Habitat Waukesha Home Repair Program
Besides first-time homebuyers, there are many current homeowners who cannot afford necessary repairs. Habitat's Home Repair Program is designed to help lower-income families, seniors, and residents with disabilities remain safely and affordably in their own homes.
Sample Home Repair projects include:
- Installing bathroom grab bars to help an elderly homeowner
- Exterior painting or landscaping to ensure a property remains up to code and a positive addition to the community
- Building a wheelchair ramp for a family member with a disability
- Repairing a roof so that a family can safely stay in their home
Through the Repair Program, Habitat offers low cost repairs to Waukesha county residents. Unlike working with a contractor, Habitat requires no up front cost and allows families to spread out payments over time with 0% interest.
