Volunteer Opportunities

There are lots of ways you can help your community with Habitat and they don't all require swinging a hammer!

Construction

Volunteers help construct Habitat homes, leading to big savings in the process. Habitat works with volunteers with all types of experience, whether you are a retired carpenter, have never used a hammer, or anywhere in between! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on the build site.

New Home & Rehab Home Construction Volunteers

Raise the roof. Build walls. Install flooring and cabinets. Almost every aspect of home construction is completed by volunteers. Build days are typically from 9am-4pm with a lunch break at noon.

Home Repair Volunteers

Help complete smaller, one to two day projects throughout Waukesha County. Pick projects that interest you and take place when you are available. Click here for more information on the Home Repair Program.

Crew Leader

Are you knowledgeable about home construction/carpentry and have extra time to make a difference? Become a crew leader! Crew leaders not only assist with the construction of homes, they also work with they construction manager to lead and teach new volunteers and volunteer groups. Crew leaders work once per week or more on the build site. Now that Habitat is building more homes than ever in Waukesha County, more crew leaders are needed to help with all of the sites!
